Beatrice Jansson – solo exhibition at Galleri Odenhall, Stockholm

In September, artist Beatrice Jansson presents her solo exhibition States of Becoming at Galleri Odenhall in Stockholm. The exhibition features new abstract paintings in which colour, form, structure and change take centre stage.
 

In States of Becoming, Beatrice Jansson explores what exists in a state of transition – between what has been and what has yet to take form.

The paintings have evolved layer by layer. Fields of colour, lines, fragments and traces meet in compositions where structure and spontaneity are allowed to coexist. Forms are built up, painted over, broken apart and transformed. Earlier decisions leave traces and become part of what emerges.

​

The exhibition is less about reaching a definitive state and more about the process of change itself – about the unexpected that can arise during the act of painting, and about leaving room for new directions and interpretations.
